CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
Chambers of commerce represent the combined resources of businesses and individuals who have banded together to facilitate participation in the local economy by advancing the commercial, financial, and industrial interests of their community through civic engagement, policy development and legislative advocacy.
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce represents the five-county Los Angeles area, but more that twenty local chambers of commerce represent different parts of the City of Los Angeles.

LOCAL ADVOCACY AND BUSINESS ASSISTANCE ORGANIZATIONS
Los Angeles is the home to several prominent business organizations that promote public policy, conduct data analysis, and provide site selection for prospective businesses.
Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley
Provides a number of business assistance services, including site and facility selection; permit assistance; employee recruitment and training; financial assistance; market data; international trade development; and more.
Los Angeles Business Council
Advocacy group that targets three key issues areas: Sustainable Development; Workforce Housing; and Education and Business Development.
Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation
Helps attract, retain and grow businesses and jobs in the Los Angeles area through a number of business assistance, economic analysis, business consulting, and international trade programs.
Valley Industry and Commerce Association
Influential business advocacy organization that acts as an advocate for businesses located in the San Fernando Valley.
Westside Economic Collaborative
A broad-based group that helps strengthen the local economy by promoting local business initiatives, fostering the development of a skilled workforce and building first-rate neighborhoods.
Valley Economic Development Corporation
The largest non-profit business development corporation in the metropolitan Los Angeles area that helps revitalize communities and create jobs for deserving residents by being the leading provider of consulting, training, financing, and workforce solutions to local businesses.
SPECIALITY TRADE ASSOCIATIONS
Trade Associations are similar to Chambers of Commerce, but targeted in focus corresponding to the industry, service sector and/or commonality of interest, race or gender.

LOS ANGELES BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS
Business Improvement Districts are geographically defined areas within the City of Los Angeles in which supplemental services, activities and area-specific programs are provided through a special assessment that is charged to all business or property owners within the designated area.
