File an exempt Business Tax Registration Certificate with the Office of Finance. You can access the application and instructions here.
Please keep in mind that in addition to the application, you will need to provide an IRS tax exemption letter and/or a State of California Franchise Tax Board exemption letter.

Submit a Turn On Service Request Form to the Department of Water and Power, the exclusive provider of water and electricity for residents and businesses located in the City of Los Angeles.

A geographically-defined area in the City of Los Angeles in which services and programs (e.g., graffiti removal, trash pickup, marketing) are provided through a special assessment which is charged to all business or property owners within the designated area.

Yes, Los Angeles has several areas designated as Business Incentive Zones, including the Federal Empowerment Zones, State Enterprise Zones, Federal Renewal Community, Foreign Trade Zones, Recycling Market Development Zones, and Community Redevelopment Project Areas.
I want to bring my entertainment/media company to Los Angeles. Am I eligible for incentives?
If your business is located in the Hollywood or North Hollywood Redevelopment Areas
that generate more than 50% of gross receipts from the entertainment and/or
multimedia business activities, then you may be eligible to cap your business tax at
$25,000 plus 10 percent of the amount of tax in excess of $25,000 that would
